Hastings maintains an “Interest List” with the names and contact information of anyone interested in official notification when a unit comes available.The Hastings Village Clerk's Office (7 Maple Avenue, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706,  914-478-3400) will referred promptly to the Affordable Housing Committee contact information received by phone, e-mail or letter.  Inquirers will then receive a letter and brief survey of needs and a request for complete contact information. 

For newly created units, owners and renters are chosen through a lottery system with  income eligibility confirmed after the lottery takes place.  With only 18 existing units in Hastings and little turnover in them, it is infrequent that one of these opens up.  When a unit becomes available,  all on the Interest List will be notified and given the opportunity to see the property and make application if they wish.  Applications will be selected on a first-come-first-served basis and then confirmed for income eligibility.
